Vistula Heritage Village
The Heritage Village Apartments is a 250 unit low income housing project in 41 scattered site buildings in the Vistula neighborhood north of downtown Toledo. This project was originally put together in 1980 and was renovated in 2018. Most of the buildings are in the Vistula Historic District and have been carefully renovated following the Department of the Interior’s guidelines for historic preservation. They are some of the most beautiful buildings in the City of Toledo. The buildings were carefully weatherized to reduce energy consumption and nine of the buildings had photovoltaic solar arrays added in partnership with Glass City Community Solar. The electricity savings will be used for various resident services.
